After Reykjavík

Following the good and the bad of Reykjavík we set off in a south easterly direction towards the northern port of Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis sitting at the top of Scotland. What I hadn’t realised was that Ben Nevis sits there.

We needed the day at sea. I felt that we had not seen the best of Iceland, but it was time to move on.

I have not mentioned our dinner companions in the MDR. We were assigned to a table for 8. Had my sister Liz been with us we would have expected another two couples to be earmarked for table 373! In the event there were only 5 of us. Probably people had been warned to keep clear but thankfully we did  have Warren and Holly as our dinner companions for the whole voyage. Warren is a retired architect and lives in Albany, NY and Holly lives in Hartford Connecticut. They have obviously known each other for a long time and they cruise together from time to time.  They cruise with various cruise lines and Warren seems to be moving away from Cunard towards Holland America.

Warren and Holly were great dinner companions. Warren took some photos of us all but I cannot locate them at the moment!!

  1. Ben Nevis is near Fort William not Butt of Lewis. Is this another deliberate mistake?

You never shared your other one some days ago
