Ladies and Gentlemen
Cunard have clearly been reading my blog. If you have not heard yet, the big news is that Queen Anne is to leave Cunard and will become a P&0 ship with another name.
She will see out her existing planned voyages as Queen Anne and will then, apparently have a revamp and a new name.
You will be aware of the fact that I have never liked her. She has never appealed to me. We have sailed on her 3 times. To keep up our record of sailing on all Cunard’s maiden voyages we booked QA’s 7 day maiden and because it was so short, we booked the following 14 day voyage as well. Because the QV and QE were not sailing out of Southampton we booked 2 more QA voyages but that was a big mistake.
I had to leave the ship in Lisbon on the maiden and we had to scrap the next 14 days and we didn’t enjoy the 2025 and 2026 voyages.
Why? She doesn’t have the Cunard class. Too many people and a dropping of standards.
So we are happy to be back on Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth sailing out of Southampton
